Description
The Hornady ELD-X is a 178-grain .308 caliber bullet for reloading, designed for long-range shooting and hunting. It features a lead core, copper jacket, and a polymer tip shaped to resist melting in flight, a design the manufacturer describes as a heat-resistant Heat Shield tip.
The bullet uses a streamlined secant ogive and boat tail profile intended to produce a high ballistic coefficient and consistent accuracy at extended ranges, where aerodynamic heating can degrade conventional polymer tips. Each package contains 100 bullets, and 15 boxes are sold per case.
