Hornady Critical Duty 9mm +P is a defensive handgun cartridge loaded with a 124 grain FlexLock bullet, intended for those who carry or keep a full-size handgun for personal protection. The load is built for barrier penetration and consistent terminal performance.

The FlexLock bullet uses a mechanical jacket-to-core InterLock band to keep the jacket and high-antimony lead core together for weight retention, and a Flex Tip to resist clogging and aid expansion. Rated at 1175 fps muzzle velocity and 380 ft-lbs muzzle energy, it is a +P load. Cases are nickel-plated brass, and the ammunition uses low flash propellant.
