Hornady Varmint Express is a 22 Hornet cartridge loaded with a 35 grain V-Max polymer tip bullet, intended for hunting varmints. The polymer tip is described as improving accuracy and promoting expansion on impact, and it raises the ballistic coefficient for better flight stability at range. The listed muzzle velocity is 3070 fps.

Each cartridge uses a brass case with a boxer primer and non-corrosive loading. Ammunition is packed 25 rounds per box, with 10 boxes per case, so a full case holds 250 rounds. The cases are reloadable.
