Its design makes it particularly well suited for prone shooting shooting against cover and any close-quarters environment where unredirected blast poses a risk to the shooter or others. The dual-function design serves as both an active blast deflector during shooting and a thread protector for the muzzle device when not deployed adding practical utility beyond a single-purpose accessory.
