Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight 12 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun

This Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight pump-action shotgun is chambered in 12 gauge and represents a classic law enforcement configuration of one of America's most respected shotgun designs. This example was formerly an LCPD police-issued firearm and shows honest service wear, including handling marks on the metal and wood that are consistent with duty use. The shotgun retains its utilitarian appeal with a walnut stock and ribbed corncob forend. Adding significant collector interest, this firearm was also part of renowned firearms instructor Clint Smith's personal collection and includes a signed letter verifying its provenance. Serial number 371721686 appears to date production to the late 1980s or early 1990s. The Ithaca Model 37 was introduced in 1937 and became famous for its lightweight design, smooth action, and unique bottom-loading, bottom-ejecting system. These features made it a popular choice among hunters, military personnel, and law enforcement agencies across the United States for decades.
