This US PROPERTY Ithaca shot gun is pictured in Snyder's Ithaca Repeaters Book (page 48). This example has a 30" round barrel choked full. The left side of the barrel is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. INC., ITHACA, N.Y. PATENT NO. 1849982 MODEL 37 / 12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAMBER / UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and at the receiver with "P". The left of the receiver is marked "P / R.L.B for Roy L Bowlin." and flaming bomb Ordnance mark and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Each side of the receiver has a roll-engraved game scene. The bottom-right of the barrel and the front face of the receiver on the right are each marked "48907".The stocks are a two-piece walnut set with a checkered forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb, serrated black hard rubber buttplate.
