Description
This Firearm Will Go Live on The Site for Sale at Noon E.S.T. on Wednesday Dec 10, 2025. Our friends at James River Armory built these for us for a while out of original military parts kits that we had. According to our records we received this one is May of 2017. They were one of our most popular rifles at the time and also one of my personal favorites, so I took a couple of our nicest ones and stuck them in my safe. That is where they have remained until now... but now it\'s time to let them go......I may not know much but I do know this. Whoever gets this is going to get a really nice rifle. Now more about the rifle. A semi-automatic version of the Zastava M72. The M72 was a gas-operated, air-cooled, drum-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon with a bipod. It was originally used as a squad automatic weapon, like the Soviet RPK but has unique design features such as the heavy finned barrel allowing for maximum cooling under heavy fire, The B1 designation denotes the modernized version of the rifle with the heavy 1.5 mil stamped receiver with reinforcement ridges. Not only a great collector\'s item but a fantastic long-range shooter. Each rifle ships in a nice heavily padded hard rifle case for maximum protection, value, and convenience. James River Armory produced these semi-auto versions of the M72B1 rifles, and they are top-notch builds. Using a new US barrel and US 1.5mm reinforced receiver, they are built to provide years of service and are rock solid. The M72 was originally a gas-operated, air-cooled, drum and magazine-fed light machine gun, manufactured by Zastava Arms of Yugoslavia (Serbia). It fires the 7.62A-39mm M43 round. What a beautiful and historic rifle. These rifles are built utilizing all original A-1 grade Yugoslavian (Zastava Serbia) parts sets and New U.S. barrels and receivers. They are carefully refurbished by the expert craftsmen at James River Armory to look as close as possible to the original issue rifles. Each rifle possesses a brand-new U.S. made heavy barrel with cooling fins built in exactly duplicating the original barrel but with the accuracy of a new bore. Comes complete with Bi-Pod and 1-30 round mag and all standard AK-mags and drums should fit. These have brand new U.S. barrels along with new receivers and are built to the highest historical quality specifications by our friends at James River Armory. This rifle has been represented here through images and description with 100% accuracy as I know it and if you are not comfortable buying it based on this information Do Not Make the Purchase. All sales are final on this rifle. This rifle requires a full FFL. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these \"Gun Safe Queens\" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don\'t get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I\'ve decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me. If you no longer see this rifle in inventory, you will know that it has sold.
