Description
The LanTac M-Spec22S is a modular rimfire suppressor machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a lightweight and strong alloy suited to rimfire use. It is rated for .22 LR, 17 HMR and .22 WMR ammunition and uses five removable baffles, each of which can be taken out for cleaning or to change the suppressor's length and sound suppression level.
The body carries a Type III hardcoat anodized finish to MIL-A-8625 standard. At 4.7 ounces and 6.75 inches long, it adds little weight or length to a host firearm, which matters for rifles and handguns running a red dot sight. The manufacturer rates it at 109 decibels in its optimum configuration on subsonic .22 LR.
The suppressor ships with a 1/2x28 UNEF direct thread adapter and a Plan B muzzle device mount, both made from 17-4 PH stainless steel in H900 condition. Both install with a standard armorer's wrench or castle nut tool.
