Lead & Steel Quality Gas Block .750 Nitride 4140 Steel Black

Lead & Steel Gas Block Features The Lead & Steel Gas Block is machined from 4140 steel a material chosen for its strength and ability to withstand the heat and pressure cycling that occurs every time the rifle fires. Finished in black nitride the block gains additional surface hardness and corrosion resistance compared to a basic parkerized or phosphate coating helping it hold up over years of use. Sized at .750 inch to match standard AR-15 barrel journals it is a straightforward drop-in option for builders assembling a new upper or replacing a worn or damaged gas block. At just 3 oz it adds negligible weight to the front of the rifle. A properly fitted gas block like this one is essential for reliable cycling since an ill-fitting or poorly finished block can lead to gas leaks and short-stroking malfunctions. The nitride finish also helps the block resist the carbon buildup and fouling that accumulate near the gas port over extended shooting sessions simplifying cleaning and maintenance. This gas block is a practical choice for anyone building an AR-platform rifle from the ground up or upgrading an older rifle with a more durable better finished component. The Lead & Steel Gas Block offers a dependable well made option for completing a reliable gas system.
