Description
The Lefever Arms H-grade was a well-made field grade hammerless sidelock side by side. They were produced from the early 1880's until Lefever was acquired by Ithaca around 1916. This one is a 12-gauge built in 1913. The chamber size is unknown, but their guns of this black powder / early smokeless powder era were typically 2 1/2" to 2 5/8". Modern high-pressure loads should be avoided! The serial numbers match on the barrels and receiver. H-grade guns of this time period usually had Carman fluid steel barrels, and that's what we believe it is based on our research. This gun presents in average used condition. The action is smooth, it disassembles and reassembles easily, and the bores are clear and bright. No box or case.
