Specifications
Description
The Magpul MOE AKM Handguard is a polymer replacement handguard for AK-47, AKM and AK-74 pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm. It replaces the standard wood or plastic handguard and gives the rifle an extended gripping surface, an integrated heat shield and a replacement gas tube cover.
The handguard has slots at the three, six and nine o'clock positions for direct-attach M-LOK accessories or M-LOK 1913 Picatinny rail sections. It is made from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer. It installs using the existing front handguard retaining cap, which may include a sling loop.
It fits AK-47, AKM and AK-74 pattern rifles but is not compatible with Yugo pattern rifles. Because AK tolerances vary, minor fitting may be required.
- Fits: AK-47, AKM and AK-74 pattern rifles (not Yugo pattern)
- Caliber: 7.62x39mm
- Material: Polymer
- Finish: Flat Dark Earth
- Mounting: M-LOK slots at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock
- Installation: Uses existing front handguard retaining cap
