Marlin 1895 Guide Gun 45-70 Government 18.5" Lever Action Rifle

The Marlin Model 1895 chambered in .45-70 Government with an 18.5-inch barrel is the quintessential "Guide Gun" configuration. Originally introduced by Marlin in 1998, this platform revolutionized big-game defense by packaging a hard-hitting, brush-busting cartridge into a highly maneuverable carbine. It is built specifically to serve as a fast-handling defense rifle for backcountry guides, hunters, and backpackers operating in heavy brush or dangerous grizzly bear territory.
