Description
The Mec-Gar 1911 Government Commander Match Grade is an 8-round detachable magazine for 1911-pattern pistols chambered in .45 ACP, sized to fit both full-size Government and Commander frames. It is built as a replacement or spare magazine for shooters who use 1911-platform handguns.
The magazine body is carbon steel with a black anti-friction coating, which the manufacturer describes as easing loading and resisting corrosion. The tube is redesigned and heat-treated for strength. Springs are high tensile spring wire with reinforced coils, and the base is either fiber-filled nylon or heat-treated steel. Internal components are interlinked.
The magazine holds 8 rounds of .45 ACP and is intended for use with 1911 Government and Commander pattern pistols only.
