Description
The Mesa Tactical SureShell Saddle Rail is a side-saddle mount for Mossberg 500, 590 and 835 12 gauge shotguns. It wraps around the top of the receiver and provides a Picatinny rail for optic mounting along with a shotshell carrier on the left side of the receiver.
The mount is machined from black aluminum and holds 6 rounds of 12 gauge shotshells. The rail is 4-1/2 inches long and conforms to MIL-STD-1913. Factory Mossberg trigger pins are replaced by internally threaded steel pins that secure both sides of the saddle rail to the receiver.
The saddle rail requires a short tactical-style forend or a cut-down factory forend that does not overlap the receiver. It is not compatible with full-length forends.
