Description
The Midwest Industries MK2 Low is a one-piece optic mount for AR-15 rifles, designed to hold an Aimpoint T-2 red dot sight on the receiver's top rail. It uses 4140 heat-treated steel clamps with a hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum body, combining steel strength at the clamping points with aluminum's lighter weight elsewhere. The low height configuration positions the T-2 for a standard cheek weld on most AR pattern rifles.
The mount measures 2 inches long and 2.26 inches tall and weighs 2.2 ounces. Integrated Torx hardware on the clamps and scope caps is intended to keep the optic returning to zero after removal and reinstallation. The black anodized finish suits most black rifle builds. Each mount includes Midwest Industries' optic mount tool for adjustment and installation.
