Description

The Midwest Industries AR-15 Upper Receiver Action Rod is a gunsmith tool used to install or remove barrel nuts and to assist with muzzle device installation on an AR-15 upper receiver. It can also be used to fit a forward assist or port door cover.

The rod is machined from 4140 steel with a black oxide finish. It fits AR-15 upper receivers and works with any standard M4/M16 barrel extension, and it is compatible with both forged and billet uppers. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically in a bench vise, and receiver-mounted sights can stay installed during use. Per the manufacturer, it will not mar the exterior of the upper receiver or damage the index pin.

The action rod is not compatible with 9mm or rimfire barrels, the DPMS G2 308, or the SIG MCX VIRTUS and SIG MCX RATTLER.
