The M48BO ("Bez Oznake," meaning "without markings") is a military surplus Mauser-pattern rifle distinguished by its lack of a national crest on the receiver, as many were produced for export or military aid contracts. This example has been sporterized, featuring a modified wood stock while retaining a 23-inch barrel. The receiver and floorplate have matching serial numbers, adding some collectible appeal despite the modifications. Rated in Fair Surplus condition, the rifle shows signs of military service and age-related wear. Please note that the safety is not functioning properly, as the bolt will only remain in the "fire" position. Prospective buyers should factor in the need for inspection and potential repair before use. Sold as a surplus firearm with historical significance, this rifle may appeal to collectors, hunters, or firearms enthusiasts seeking a classic Mauser-action project gun.
