Post-war Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This M1 garand features a 24" barrel and a blade front sight with protective sides, adjustable DRC aperture rear sight. The Op Rod is marked "8535382 HRA" and the bolt is marked "65383282 SA". The trigger group housing is marked "6528290- SA", a stamped trigger guard with no markings, "SA-11" safety, "SA D5546008" hammer. The gas cylinder is a wide base with an "O" gas cylinder lock screw and high hump lock. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip with Dept of Defense acceptance proof on the left stock "three stars above on eagle" and a circle "P" behind the trigger group on the inside of the wrist. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. The barrel is stamped "SA F6535448 5-55 MD 50". The receiver is stamped "US RIFLE - CAL .30M1 - SPRINGFIELD ARMORY - 5883233". Overall this rifle remains in good / very good surplus condition
