++NONE XXV SL 12 GAUGE

Spanish made 3" 12 gauge. This is a copy of the Churchill XXV / SL, bearing Spanish proof marks and date stamped "X.1", dated 1978. This SxS was built by Julian Amuategui by the "MA" stamp, a Basque gun maker in the Eibar area of Spain. This model has 25" chopper lump barrels with ejectors and a high rib popularized by Robert Churchill. The sights are a single bead front sight. The stars (*) above the 18.4 on the barrels indicate Modified (***) and full (*) choke, but when measured with a choke gauge puts the chokes both at "Cyl, Cyl". The frame engraving is a fine floral, ribbon and scroll engraving with case coloring. Double triggers with the front one hinged. The gun also features a straight right hand, finely checkered walnut stock with a semi beavertail forend, hinged front trigger, carved wood butt plate. Barrels do have a little play.
