Description
Classic Spanish Oviedo Mauser-pattern rifle produced at the Fábrica de Armas de Oviedo. This military surplus piece features a straight bolt handle, tangent rear sight, and full-length hardwood stock with attractive aged finish and service wear. Serial number S9304. Caliber is not marked, though rifles of this type were commonly chambered in 7x57mm Mauser. Oviedo Mausers were primarily produced from the late 1890s through the 1920s; this example was likely manufactured in the early 1900s (exact date unconfirmed). A solid collectible representing Spain's Mauser history.
