Description
The Pachmayr Master Gunsmith Hex Head Ring and Base Screw Kit is a 142-piece set of black hardened steel hex head screws for mounting scope rings and bases. The screws are replacements for factory slotted screws, which are often difficult to find when a mount needs to be reinstalled or replaced.
The kit covers #6-40, #6-48 and #8-40 thread pitches, with fillister and oval head styles in several lengths from 1/4 inch to 9/16 inch. The screws have a black finish and the set includes a 3/32 inch hex wrench. The kit weighs 8.8 ounces.
The storage box has individual compartments for each screw size. It also includes tweezers and a thread size gauge, which doubles as a shortening jig for grinding a screw to a shorter length.
