The Pelican Protector 1700 Long Case is a hard-sided rifle and shotgun case in desert tan, built from polypropylene with a watertight silicone O-ring lid, over-molded rubber handles, and stainless steel hardware. It includes pre-cut polyurethane foam to hold firearms in place during transport and storage.
The case has an automatic purge valve that equalizes air pressure. Its exterior measures 38.47 by 16.42 by 6.14 inches, and the interior measures 35.76 by 13.73 by 5.35 inches, for a volume of 1.52 cubic feet. The padlock hole is 5/16 inch in diameter. Empty weight is 15.10 pounds, and weight with foam is 16.85 pounds. The rated operating range is -40 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit.
