The Phase 5 Weapon Systems SAFE45 is an ambidextrous safety selector for AR-15 rifles, with compatibility listed for AR-10 and LR-308 platforms. Its 45-degree throw shortens the thumb travel needed to move the selector from safe to fire compared with a standard mil-spec selector, which the manufacturer describes as useful in defensive and competitive shooting.
The selector is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and finished in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote. Both sides carry wide levers, and the kit includes a 45-degree throw center core, one long lever, one short lever, two Torx screws and a Torx wrench, so the installer can configure it for right- or left-handed use.
