Primary Weapons Systems MK216 MOD 2 Upper Features The Primary Weapons Systems MK216 MOD 2 Upper pairs a 16.1 inch .308 Win barrel with the company s proprietary long-stroke gas piston operating system reducing carrier group heat and fouling compared to direct impingement designs for more consistent cycling shot after shot. The factory-installed FRC compensator manages recoil impulse and muzzle rise keeping the sight picture on target through rapid strings of fire. Built to fit the AR-10/SR25 pattern of lowers the upper is designed as a drop-in solution for shooters looking to upgrade or build a .308 Win platform without sourcing individual components. Its piston system keeps the receiver cleaner over extended range sessions reducing the frequency of maintenance between outings.
