Proof Research Competition PXT 264 Caliber 26" Stainless Barrel Blank

Proof Research Competition PXT Barrel Blank Features The Proof Research Competition PXT barrel blank is chambered for .264 Cal and built around a 1:7.5 twist rate matched to heavier longer range bullets common in competition and precision hunting loads. Five grooves in the rifling help maintain consistent bullet engagement and stabilize the projectile for tight groups at distance. The barrel is machined from steel and finished in a stainless bead blast giving it a clean durable surface that resists corrosion during extended range sessions. At 26 inches the barrel length is suited to extracting maximum velocity from the cartridge for long range precision work. As a bolt action barrel blank this part is intended for a gunsmith or experienced builder fitting it to an existing action rather than a drop in replacement barrel. Weighing in at 2 lbs 13 oz it keeps the completed rifle balanced without adding unnecessary bulk to the front end. Proof Research s competition line is built to the same demanding tolerances the company applies across its barrel offerings giving builders a dependable foundation for a custom rifle. For gunsmiths and precision shooters assembling a serious long range bolt gun the Competition PXT barrel blank is for sale at ARMSAGORA.
