Proof Research Carbon Fiber PXT 257 Caliber 20" 1:7.5 Twist Barrel Blank

Proof Research Carbon Fiber PXT Barrel Blank Features The Proof Research Carbon Fiber PXT Barrel Blank uses PXT rifling a complete rethinking of conventional rifling geometry engineered to reduce engraving force and minimize throat erosion as the projectile engages the bore. This smoother engagement reduces wear and felt torque during firing giving builders improved recoil control and more consistent accuracy shot after shot. PROOF s controlled testing has shown 30 to 100 percent increases in barrel life from PXT technology while maintaining the accuracy standards PROOF barrels are built around. The carbon fiber barrel construction provides an exceptional stiffness to weight ratio reducing the finished rifle s overall weight without sacrificing performance. Measuring 20 with a 1:7.5 twist rate this .257 caliber blank gives gunsmiths and custom builders a known precise foundation for chambering a finished barrel. At roughly 2 lbs 13 oz the blank keeps a completed rifle light enough for long treks afield while retaining the stiffness needed for repeatable tight groups. Designed specifically for custom rifle builders and gunsmiths this blank serves as a premium starting point for lightweight hunting rifles and precision long range rifle systems. PROOF s reputation for carbon fiber construction makes this an ideal choice where consistency and durability matter most.
