The PTG Uni Throater Hand Throating Reamer allows the gunsmith to accurately lengthen the throat in the rifle chamber, clean up throat erosion and increase freebore. Hand throating tools extend the throat of a chamber to provide more clearance around the bullet. More space allows use of longer bullets or allows the handloader to seat the bullet to a longer overall cartridge length without allowing the bullet to engage the rifling of the bore. Fully adjustable for precise setting of depth of freebore. These tools are intended for use by professionals and there are no instructions included. If you are new to gunsmithing, you should work with a qualified gunsmith for your first throating job to ensure a safe and accurate outcome.
