PTR 51P SBR 7.62 X 51 / .308 Win 8.5 Threaded Barrel 20-Rounds

PTR 51P Features The PTR 51P runs a roller-delayed blowback action chambered in 7.62 X 51 / .308 Win a system prized for smooth recoil impulse and mechanical reliability under hard use. The 8.5 barrel carries a 1:10 right-hand twist to stabilize .308-class bullets even at the shortened length classified as an SBR. A 5/8x24 threaded muzzle lets shooters mount a brake compensator or suppressor depending on the mission from close-quarters work to suppressed hunting. Feeding from 20-round magazines gives the platform serious firepower in a footprint shorter than a standard rifle and the roller-delayed system keeps the bolt locked long enough for pressures to drop to safe levels before unlocking which is what lets a short light rifle handle full-power .308 pressures without battering itself apart. The receiver is finished in a durable Black Powdercoat that resists wear from hard use and field carry while a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver provides a stable repeatable mounting surface for red dots or magnified optics. This combination of a short threaded barrel and a rugged optics-ready receiver makes the 51P well suited to vehicle-based work home defense and suppressed range use where a full-length .308 rifle is simply too long. The 20-round magazine capacity keeps the rifle fed through extended range sessions or defensive use without frequent reloads and the threaded muzzle means the end user can configure the rifle for noise reduction or recoil management without any gunsmithing. Shooters looking for the power of 7.62x51 in a compact SBR-configured package will find the PTR 51P built exactly for that role whether the mission is a truck gun a home defense carbine or a suppressed range rifle.
