Radical Firearms RAD-15 Features At the core of the RAD-15 is a 4140 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel barrel finished in Melonite for long-lasting corrosion resistance and strength. The 1:7 twist rate provides excellent stabilization for a wide variety of 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem loads while the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle with A2 flash hider supports easy upgrades and suppressor compatibility. A pistol-length gas system and .750 low-profile gas block ensure reliable cycling under a variety of conditions. Both the upper and lower receivers are precision-machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with Type III hardcoat anodizing to MIL-SPEC standards. The platform includes standard MIL-SPEC safety selector fire control group charging handle and buffer system ensuring compatibility and reliability with AR-pattern components. A 7-inch free-float M-LOK thin rail handguard provides ample accessory space for optics grips or lights while keeping weight balanced.
