Description
The HK MR556 A4 is a semi-automatic pistol built on the AR-15 platform, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington. It uses a short-stroke gas piston system, which keeps hot carbon fouling out of the action and reduces wear on internal components compared with direct-impingement designs. An adjustable two-position gas block lets the operator tune the action for suppressed or unsuppressed use.
The pistol has an 11-inch threaded barrel, an overall length of 26.5 inches, and a 30-round capacity. It weighs 6.61 pounds and has a black anodized finish, a polymer material build, and no factory sights. The slimline M-LOK handguard and ambidextrous controls are intended to make it easier to handle.
