RCBS Replacement Expander-Decapping Unit 30 SB

RCBS Expander/Decapping Assembly Features The RCBS Expander/Decapping Assembly for .30 Cal combines two reloading functions into a single unit expanding the case neck to accept a new bullet while simultaneously punching out the spent primer during the sizing stroke. The carbide expander button at the heart of the assembly resists the wear that steel expanders suffer from repeated contact with brass extending its service life considerably. An adjustable positioning sleeve lets the reloader set exactly where in the stroke the expander contacts the case neck which helps control neck tension consistency. This level of adjustability is particularly useful for reloaders working with varying brass thicknesses or multiple rifles in the same caliber. RCBS builds this assembly as a replacement part meaning reloaders with an existing die set can restore or upgrade expander performance without purchasing an entirely new die. The carbide construction also reduces the lubrication demands typically associated with case neck expansion. Because it is sized specifically for .30 caliber cases the assembly integrates directly into compatible RCBS full length and neck sizing dies. Reloaders maintaining .30 caliber dies will find this assembly a straightforward way to keep their sizing operation running smoothly.
