Remington Model 597 .22 LR

The Remington 597 is a reliable semi-automatic rimfire rifle introduced in 1997 and produced until 2019. It is designed to compete with other popular rimfire rifles like the Marlin Model 795, Mossberg 702 Plinkster, and Ruger 10/22. The 597 is chambered in .22 Long Rifle, .22 WMR, and .17 HMR, with the .22 LR version featuring a 10-round removable magazine, while the .22 WMR and .17 HMR versions hold 8 rounds. The rifle's unique bolt-guidance system utilizes two steel guide rails, enhancing accuracy and reliability by ensuring consistent bolt travel.
