Rosco Stray Dog 5.56 NATO 16.25" 1:7 Mid-Length Barrel

Rosco Stray Dog Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing Stray Dog barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO and machined from chrome moly vanadium steel a material chosen for its balance of strength and heat resistance under sustained firing. A 1:7 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 bullet weights making the barrel versatile across common loadings. The mid-length gas system is tuned for smoother more reliable cycling than a carbine length system of the same barrel length which reduces felt recoil and bolt carrier speed. This configuration mirrors the Bloodline 16 USASOC barrel that Rosco built its reputation on. Where this barrel differs is in its finish carrying a classic mil-spec black phosphate coating over the exterior instead of a more modern finish giving builders and cloners the correct period correct look for a mil-spec build. The bore itself is chrome lined which adds corrosion resistance and extends barrel life under heavy use. A 1/2x28 thread pattern at the muzzle accepts standard AR-15 compensators flash hiders and suppressor mounts. At 29.97 oz the Rosco Manufacturing Stray Dog is a proven purpose built barrel available for sale at ARMSAGORA to those assembling an accurate mil-spec pattern rifle.
