The Ruger Security-9 Compact is a compact semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, designed for concealed carry and everyday defensive use. It uses a Secure Action hammer-fired system derived from the LCP fire control design, offering a single-action-style trigger with a short, crisp reset.

The pistol has a 3.42-inch barrel and a 6.52-inch overall length, with a black oxide finished alloy steel slide and barrel, a polymer grip frame, and a black synthetic grip with a textured surface. The fixed front sight and drift-adjustable rear sight are dovetailed. Safety features include a trigger safety, an external manual safety, and a hammer catch. Takedown requires no special tools.
