Description
The Ruger SP101 Standard is a double-action/single-action revolver chambered in 357 Magnum, built on a stainless steel frame with a satin stainless finish. It is a compact five-shot handgun intended for defensive and general-purpose use.
The 2.25-inch stainless steel barrel and cylinder give an overall length of 7.20 inches and a weight of about 1.63 pounds (26 ounces). The triple locking cylinder mechanism locks the cylinder into the frame at the front, rear and bottom. The frame has no side plates, and the hammer is exposed. Sights are a ramp front with a fixed rear. Safety is provided by a transfer bar.
The grip is a smaller Ruger cushioned design in black rubber with a black synthetic insert and no exposed metal at the backstrap.
