Description
The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is a left-hand outside-waistband holster for long-slide duty and competition-style handguns. It uses the GLS (Grip Lock System), which automatically secures the firearm when holstered and releases it when the middle finger is applied with a standard shooting grip. The holster body is made from SafariSeven, a lightweight nylon blend that is non-abrasive to a gun's finish and tolerant of extreme temperatures.
The holster is listed as fitting Glock 17L, 24, 34 and 35 pistols, along with Smith & Wesson M&P long-slide models with 5.3 to 6 inch barrels. The Pro-Fit design is adjustable to suit a range of firearms. Carry options include an injection-molded paddle and an adjustable injection-molded belt loop, which allows cross-draw wear. The paddle can be used with or without a belt.
