This Savage Arms Model 1899 Take down .250-3000 Savage is in very good condition for its age. SN 172484 puts its manufacture date at 1915. The barrel is losing its bluing, but it has no visible surface rust. The fore end has some wear with small indentations but no visible cracks. The stock shows normal wear for a gun this old and appears to have a small chip on the left side by the lever. No visible cracks. This is a very nice looking gun for a good price.
