Savage Axis 2 OD Green 5.56 / .223 Rem 20 Barrel 4-Rounds

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 centers on a carbon steel action with a thread-in headspacing barrel that Savage button-rifles for consistent accurate rifling from bore to muzzle. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights in 5.56 NATO and the matte black finish on both the barrel and receiver resists wear from field use and weather exposure. A two-position top tang safety gives the shooter an easy tactile way to keep the rifle secure until the moment it counts and the enhanced bolt handle s ergonomic profile makes cycling the action faster and more comfortable in cold or wet conditions. The detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds ready to fire and the drilled and tapped receiver means a scope goes on without any additional machining so the rifle is ready to mount glass and head to the range or the stand right out of the box. The OD Green fixed stock wears a pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells so both left and right-handed shooters get a secure comfortable hold under recoil. Enhanced texturing across the stock s gripping surfaces keeps hands in place even with gloves on or in wet weather and the adaptable length of pull lets the rifle be tailored to the shooter s build for a more natural cheek weld and sight picture. A rubber recoil pad absorbs felt recoil at the shoulder making longer range sessions and repeated follow-up shots more comfortable and the overall length of 40.5 at 6.7 lbs keeps the rifle balanced and easy to carry through rough terrain. With a threaded 1/2x28 muzzle ready for a brake or suppressor the Savage Arms Axis 2 in 5.56 / .223 Rem delivers a complete field-ready hunting package for shooters who want dependable accuracy without a custom price tag.
