Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest 6mm ARC Bolt Action Rifle 20" Threaded Barrel

Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 Pro Forest is built around a carbon steel action and a 20 inch heavy sporter contour barrel finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote which protects the metal from moisture and wear far better than standard bluing. A spiral flute reduces barrel weight while increasing surface area for cooling and the 1:7.5 twist is matched to stabilize the 6mm ARC s heavier high ballistic coefficient bullets. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 letting hunters add a muzzle brake or suppressor to manage recoil and report. The user adjustable AccuTrigger breaks cleanly between 2.5 and 6 pounds giving the shooter control over trigger feel without needing a gunsmith. The Forest camo synthetic stock gives the rifle a distinctive field ready appearance that blends into timbered hunting terrain and an ambidextrous magazine release makes reloading fast regardless of which hand runs the controls. A detachable box magazine feeds the action with a 4+1 capacity and a single piece 0 MOA scope base is ready to accept rings for a quick optic mount. At 6.8 pounds and 40.5 inches overall the rifle stays light and maneuverable for long days spent walking ridgelines or still hunting through timber. Built for hunters who want proven Savage reliability in a modern cartridge the Axis 2 Pro Forest is ready for the next big game season.
