Savage Axis 2 243 Win 20" Threaded Barrel Bolt Action Rifle 4-Round

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 pairs a 20 inch matte black threaded barrel with a 1:9.25 twist rate matched to common 243 Win bullet weights for flat accurate shooting downrange. The carbon steel barrel is threaded 5/8x24 allowing shooters to add a muzzle brake or suppressor without additional gunsmithing extending the rifle s usefulness beyond a stock configuration. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger breaking between 2.5 and 6 pounds gives shooters control over trigger feel for a cleaner more consistent break on precision shots whether the rifle is set up for a young hunter or an experienced marksman. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base mounting giving hunters flexibility in choosing their own optic setup rather than being locked into a factory-installed sight system. The rifle s OD Green synthetic stock is fixed with a contoured pistol grip and ambidextrous palm swells giving right-hand shooters a comfortable and familiar grip position in the field regardless of build or hand size. A rubber recoil pad helps absorb felt recoil keeping the rifle comfortable through extended hunting sessions in variable weather and across long days on the range. An updated ergonomic bolt handle improves control and comfort when cycling the action especially in cold or wet field conditions where grip and speed both matter. At 6.70 pounds with a detachable 4 round box magazine for 4+1 capacity the Savage Axis 2 is a practical rifle for deer and varmint hunters chasing 243 Win s flat trajectory and manageable recoil and its threaded barrel and drilled and tapped receiver mean it can grow alongside a shooter s setup over time.
