Savage Axis 2 XP Compact OD Green 7mm-08 Rem 20 Barrel 4-Rounds w/ Weaver 3-9x40mm

Savage Axis 2 XP Features The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo Compact pairs a 20 heavy sporter barrel with a 1:9.5 twist rate suited to common 7mm-08 Remington hunting loads delivering the accuracy Savage rifles are known for at an accessible price point. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets hunters tune trigger pull weight to their preference contributing to more consistent confident shot placement in the field. Thread-in headspacing during manufacturing improves barrel-to-receiver accuracy compared to older assembly methods used on prior generations and the drilled and tapped receiver keeps the rifle ready for a different optic setup down the road even though it ships scoped. Hunters new to centerfire rifles or shooters with a smaller frame will benefit from this compact-length accuracy-focused build that keeps overall weight and length manageable in tight hunting blinds and dense timber. This combo ships factory mounted and boresighted with a Weaver 3-9x40mm scope featuring fully multi-coated lenses and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments eliminating the need to buy mount and zero glass separately before heading afield. The redesigned stock brings improved ergonomics and enhanced texturing over prior Axis generations finished in matte OD Green for practical field concealment across a range of hunting environments. A detachable box magazine and updated ergonomic bolt handle improve overall handling especially in cold or wet conditions when gloved hands need positive purchase on the action. Compact-framed hunters looking for a complete ready-to-hunt 7mm-08 package will find the Axis 2 XP Combo built specifically for that purpose delivering factory-mounted glass and a proven cartridge in one accessible field-ready rifle.
