Description
The Howa 1500 Superlite Gen2 in 7mm-08 Remington is a bolt-action hunting rifle built around a machined steel receiver and forged bolt. Its M-16 style extractor and ejector are intended to give consistent cycling from shot to shot, and the two-stage trigger is described as breaking cleanly for precise placement at extended range.
The rifle has a 20-inch cold hammer forged barrel with a 1/2x28 muzzle thread pitch and a 1:9.5 twist rate. It weighs about 4.9 pounds, has a 3+1 capacity with a flush detachable magazine, and includes a three-position safety. The synthetic stock is black with black webbing and is supplied with a matte blue receiver finish.
The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting, and the rifle ships without sights. It is chambered in 7mm-08 Remington and built on the Remington 700 platform pattern.
