For sale is a Savage MSR-15 AR-15 rifle chambered in .224 Valkyrie. The heavy-profile barrel measures in at 18" and has a Savage two-chamber brake on the end and is a 1:7 twist, perfect for many .224 Valkyrie loads. The cartridge is designed for long-range accuracy, easily hitting targets well over 1000 yards away with less recoil than calibers such as 6.5 Creedmoor or other full-size calibers. It also has the added benefit of being a short enough cartridge to fit standard AR-15 receivers. This rifle has been fitted with a rubber Hogue pistol grip, Magpul CTR adjustable stock, Midwest Industries 13 ½" free-floating M-lok handguard, Midwest Industries bipod mount, and Caldwell folding bipod. The rifle features mainly mil-spec parts, but has an upgraded light 2-stage trigger. This trigger may be a Zev Technologies Core trigger or a Schmid two-stage trigger (though these two products are likely the same exact triggers made by Schmid). The rifle is set up with a Primary Arms SLx 1-8x24 second focal plane LPVO scope with illuminated ACSS reticle with the 5.56/5.45/.308 BDC mounted in an American Defense Manufacturing (ADM) cantilever mount. The rifle includes one AR-Stoner 10-round magazine, one Precision Reflex Industries (PRI) 25-round magazine, and user manual. This rifle is in lightly-used condition with a bright and clean barrel and a good overall setup for varmint shooting or as an introductory rifle for long-distance precision shooting.
