Description
The Savage Axis XP Compact Youth Combo is a bolt-action rifle sized for younger shooters and smaller-framed hunters, sold as a bundle with a factory-mounted scope. It is chambered in 243 Winchester, a cartridge suited to varmint and light big-game hunting.
The rifle has a 20-inch carbon steel barrel and an overall length of 39.5 inches, weighing 7.4 pounds. Its matte black finish sits on a polymer stock with textured grip areas and an updated pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells. The bolt handle has a redesigned ergonomic shape. The detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds. The rifle is configured for right-handed shooters and has no iron sights.
The included 3-9x40mm scope is mounted and bore-sighted at the factory, so it is ready to shoot out of the box.
