Sierra MatchKing 6.5mm .264 140 Grain HPBT 250-Count

Sierra MatchKing Features The Sierra MatchKing 140 grain hollow point boat tail bullet is built around a jacketed lead core construction designed specifically for consistent repeatable accuracy rather than hunting performance. The boat tail base reduces drag as the bullet travels downrange helping it retain velocity and resist wind drift over longer distances a critical factor for the 1000 yard matches this bullet is built to compete in. At .264 inches in diameter the bullet is sized for the 6.5mm bore a caliber that has seen renewed popularity as more rifle manufacturers chamber their guns for 6.5x55mm and other 6.5mm cartridges. This weight and profile combination makes the bullet well suited to medium and high capacity 6.5mm cartridges where retained velocity at distance matters most. Sierra is clear that MatchKing bullets are recognized worldwide for their record setting accuracy but they are not engineered or recommended for most hunting applications. While some shooters have used MatchKing bullets for varmint hunting the bullet s design does not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at comparable velocities that Sierra s dedicated varmint bullets like the Hornet Blitz or Varminter lines are built to deliver. Each box contains 250 bullets giving competitive shooters or dedicated handloaders a substantial supply for extended practice and match preparation. For shooters loading for High Power or Silhouette competition in a 6.5mm cartridge this MatchKing bullet remains a proven trusted choice for consistent downrange accuracy.
