The P226 22 pistol also comes with two (2) 10-round polymer magazines. There is no gun as synonymous with the SIG SAUER brand as the P226, developed in the 1980’s as a replacement for the US military’s M1911-A1. While the P226 ultimately wasn’t chosen to be the United State's standard service pistol, it didn’t stop the US Navy Seals from adopting it as their sidearm of choice for conducting special operations missions.
