Description
The Smith & Wesson 642 Airweight is a small-frame, concealed-hammer double-action revolver built for concealed carry. It is a variation of the Model 42 Centennial Airweight and fires the 38 Special +P cartridge from a five-round cylinder.
The 642 has an aluminum alloy frame with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder, a matte silver finish, and a 1.88-inch barrel. It weighs 14.6 ounces and measures 6.31 inches overall. Sights are an integral front and a fixed rear. The grip is a finger-grooved pink polymer, and the revolver includes an internal lock.
The revolver is part of Smith & Wesson's M&P platform and is chambered only for 38 S&W Special +P.
