Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 642 Airweight is a small-frame, concealed-hammer J-Frame revolver built for concealed carry. It is a variation of the Model 42 Centennial Airweight and fires the full-power 38 Special +P cartridge in a compact, double-action package.
The revolver has an aluminum alloy frame with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder, a matte silver finish, and a 1.88-inch barrel. It holds five rounds, weighs 15.4 ounces, and measures 6.3 inches overall. Sights are an integral front and fixed rear. The double-action trigger and concealed hammer are designed for simple, reliable operation.
