Very nice Springfield 1898 Carbine in .30-40 Krag with 22" barrel. Rifle appears in original condition with no refinishing. Metal has a worn patina look about it and there are some small areas of fading. The bore has good rifling and is not rusted or pitted. Serial number indicates date of manufacture to be 1899 and possibly the 2nd Krag Model.
