In this latest iteration, the Sage 5 Lightweight Salt features a blade made from CPM MagnaCut, a groundbreaking particle metallurgy steel that delivers an outstanding balance of edge retention, toughness and exceptional corrosion resistance-traits that are essential for our Salt Series knives. The full-flat-ground, PlainEdge blade is paired with a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism, all housed in a lightweight, open-backed handle with fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales. The scales, molded in a bright yellow for high visibility, are textured with a BiDirectional Texture pattern to provide a secure, non-slip grip. A reversible, deep-pocket wire clip completes the design.
